Magical Madagascar should not be visited hastily and it just cannot be described by some common cliches. Whoever choses to go and discover its people and their legendary warmth, its fascinating landscapes and marvelous sites is actually embarking for a wonderful exploration.
There are 5 main sightseeing spots which are visitors’ favourites and they will usually seek to see all of them:
•• The "route du sud", the most frequently used route is 970 km long and it links the green rice fields of antananarivo to the coral reef of tulear. •• The "côte du capricorne" in the south west combines an exceptional continental environment with spectacular submarine scenes. •• The "côte des contrastes" in the south east is bestowed with a rich and unusual diversity resulting of the combined effects of different climates.
•• The "côte du palissandre" in the east with its scent of spices. The relics of its history and its forest which, according to popular belief, is synonymous to inexhaustible resources. •• The "côte des iles vierges" in the north west, kept safe from sea heaves by the high lands, with its white beaches, its coves and its islets of the end of the earth. |
